The itinerary changed a bit because of the weather but that couldn't be helped!

There's nothing I wasn't told that I should have been. However, I went on this holiday alone and when I arrived at the airport I was told to expect a representative of the ranch to be there with a sign and wearing a cowboy hat!! It sounds ridiculous but Yank didn't have a sign and he wasn't wearing a cowboy hat so I didn't recognise him!! I was stood there like a lemon for ages!! It's a simple thing and it didn't really matter. However, as it was the first time I'd been abroad alone I found it a bit disconcerting. I thought it was worth pointing out!
Not much. I really, really enjoyed the riding it and would recommend it to anyone. I was the only English person at the ranch on the week I went but everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The horses seemed happy and in good condition.

The riding was not difficult. I'd never done Western-style riding before but I found it very relaxed and I never felt out of control even during the fastest gallops. However, the days in the saddle are fairly long and one of our group had some difficulty keeping up with the pace. Fortunately, the rider concerned was able to have lessons back at the ranch so it didn't affect the overall pacing of the rides. I would say the holiday is ideal for competent riders who don't like plodding along at a walk all day.

Generally, I had a great time and would recommend the holiday. To be honest, when I arrived I was a bit taken aback to discover I was the only English rider and felt a little left out because everyone else spoke Dutch. But Hank, Jacqueline and the other riders made me feel very welcome and I've made some great friends.
