The horses used on this horse riding holiday are Bedouin Arabs, Pure Arabs and Anglo Arabs, ideal for the climate and terrain. Incredible riding and camping in the middle of the desert surrounded only by hills of granite and desert sand. Your luggage is transported for you. The programme includes an opportunity to spend a full day in Petra, an afternoon in Aqaba to swim & snorkel at the Red Sea, and one full day to swim, float & relax at the Dead Sea.

SAMPLE ITINERARY - WADI RUM
Day 1
Arrival at the airport and transfer to Madaba, around a 20 minute drive. If the group arrives enough early (before 5pm), there is a possibility of a walk around the souk and to visit the St George church, where there is the mosaic of the first holy bible map.
Dinner and overnight at the Madaba Inn 4* hotel.
Day 2
Early morning at 7.30, we will take our bus to go to Petra (around 2h30 drive). Arrival at around 10 am, full day to visit the site. We will have a 4 hour guided visit with an official guide. Everyone will be free to walk inside the site or to go back to the hotel after this. There are many small restaurants inside the site to get lunch.
The Petra Palace hotel is situated right at the entrance of the site, everyone is free to go back to the hotel at anytime.
The group will spend the night and get dinner at the Petra Palace Hotel.
Days 3
After breakfast, we will take our bus to go to Wadi Rum, around a 1h30 drive. Arrival in the village of Wadi Rum around 9.30am. We drive you by jeep to our fixed camp inside the protected area (around 15 km away from the village) at the bottom of Jebel Abu Hassaran. Time to drink the first bedouin tea, meet the horses and the team.
First ride through Abu R’shebie valley, on the way visit of the Um fruth rockbridge, time to climb on the arch. After lunch we will ride through an open valley with a view over the red sand area. Bivouac in the narrow canyon of Fam Al Geder.
Day 4
After breakfast, we will cross further in the south area through Um Raza, with its canyons and red sands. On the way we will see Arab Antar, a natural cave, famous for its legends. Lunch in Wadi Sabat. There we are 5 km away from the Saoudian border. Then we will cross the Cerdan valley, and see a neolithic well that the bedouins are still using until now. Bivouac in Um Umgur.
Day 5
After breakfast, we will ride through Nougra valley and its white sand, we will turn around Jebel burdah and see the natural rockbridge. Lunch in Al Sam valley. Then we will ride through Sweighe, with a beautiful view on the Dissih area. Bivouac at the entrance of Barragh canyon
Day 6
Today we will cross Barragh canyon, which is the longest canyon of Wadi Rum, we will see the immense cliffs famous for rock climbing, a neolithic well and inscriptions. Lunch in Afleh area with its strange mushroom mountain. Then we will cross through narrow canyons and reach our bivouac in Abu Rashaba.
Day 7
Our adventure starts with a ride through Ragah valley to see Lawrence’s house. Lunch in Umfishie where we will see some Nabatean inscriptions. Then we will cross the red sand dune ride through Rash Rasha valley and bivouac in Um Sabatha.
Day 8
We will ride to Jebel Qatar and see the spring. Then we will cross to Jebel Khazali where we will get lunch and the occasion to see some nabatean, talmudic and neolithic inscriptions.Then we will ride to the village through Trafel Marar valley.
After the riding finishes we will take our bus to go to Aqaba at around 4pm. (1h drive) andl have dinner in the Haret Djoudna restaurant. Here we will enjoy a variety of local meals, with the famous Sayadiyah, a speciality from Aqaba, cooked with fish from the Red Sea. Overnight at the Days Inn 3* hotel.
Day 9
Today everybody will be free to walk in the city of Aqaba or to go to the Royal diving center for snorkelling.
At 3.30 pm, we will take our bus from the Days Inn hotel to go to Madaba and back to the Madaba Inn hotel. We will arrive there around 7.00pm. Our farewell dinner will take place in the restaurant Haret Djoudna, famous for its variety of Mezze and its traditional ambiance.
Day 10
Transfer back to the airport.

The itinerary above is the Spring and Autumn itinerary and will take place in March, April, May, September and October. The winter itinerary (in November, December, January and February) will start with a visit to Kings Road (to visit the Dead Sea) on Day 2, followed by a visit to Petra and transfer to Wadi Rum to begin the horse riding on Day 3. The riding will finish on Day 8 and departure on Day 9.
The weight limit for this ride is 13 st/187 lb/85 kg, please enquire if you are an experienced rider exceeding this weight.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
The trip price includes all hotel accommodations in half board & twin room occupancy in towns, camping equipment; tents, mattresses…etc, all meals whilst camping, horses, tack, guide, all transportation and luggage transfer by support vehicle during the ride, airport transfer, entrance fees to Petra & Wadi Rum, guide in Petra for the first part of Petra, entrance to Royal Diving Club (RDC), entrance to hotel at the Dead Sea.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED
Not included flights to and from Amman, entry visa fees and departure tax to Jordan, alcoholic drinks, tips, lunches in Amman, Petra, Aqaba, personal expenses.
